It all started in 2021 by our founder, Aly Masters who suffered from severe hair loss due to chemical and heat damage. She never truly felt beautiful or included when wearing her natural hair. After losing her hair, she was determined to start the journey to healing, self love, and acceptance in being her most authentic self. At Biocurlz, natural hair and mindfulness go hand and hand. Embracing natural hair starts from within, and it can be challenging sometimes in a world engulfed in technology, social media, and unattainable beauty standards. Representation matters, and we encourage our customers to feel motivated in their hair journey, wherever they may be, and accept the power in vulnerability. Most importantly, knowing that you are never alone on this journey!
